Moore — who starred as Rebecca on the hit NBC series — has voiced her support of the SAG-AFTRA strike. In a recent interview, Moore opened up about receiving “81 cent” checks for the show’s streaming residual deal.
“The residual issue is a huge issue,” Moore told the Hollywood Reporter from the Disney picket line in Burbank on Tuesday. She was joined by Katie Lowes as the pair of actresses joined the actor’s strike.

“We’re in incredibly fortunate positions as working actors having been on shows that found tremendous success in one way or another … but many actors in our position for years before us were able to live off of residuals or at least pay their bills,” Moore continued.
“If you are someone who has been fortunate enough in our positions to do 120-plus episodes of a successful show in previous years — 10, 15, 20 years ago — that re-airing would be the thing that could sustain you on years where I did this smaller project or I wanted to go do a play or you have kids and you have a family to provide for,” Lowes said. “And that just not a reality anymore. The entire model has changed.”

Moore has been a SAG-AFTRA member since 1999, while Lowes joined more recently in 2004.

Since May, writers, represented by the Writers Guild of America (WGA) have been on strike, asking for a guaranteed number of writers per room, increased pay, and regulated use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the writing process.

On Wednesday, fans flooded Twitter with their frustration after contestants missed several questions throughout every round of the show.
“Whoa! What was up with the folks on #Jeopardy tonight?” one Twitter user began. “For people of that caliber, those were some pretty basic questions that no one was getting…”

The actor, who has appeared in some of the biggest films and television shows over the past few decades, first broke into the industry at the age of 17 when he appeared in “National Lampoon’s Animal House.”
Since then, Bacon has remained a consistent figure in Hollywood and has worked with so many people in the business, a parlor game called “Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon,” was created. In the game, an individual chooses an actor and then connects them to another actor, repeating the process until a connection to Bacon is found. It can often be achieved within six connections.
In celebration of Bacon’s birthday, here’s a look at his life in the industry to his greatest role of all: a father of two and husband to Kyra Sedgwick.
Throughout the movie, Ren falls for the reverend’s daughter Ariel, and together they work toward getting the town council to reverse the ban, ultimately achieving their goal in the end.
“I was really resistant to the whole ‘Footloose’ thing, because I was an idiot. I was young, and I thought, ‘Well this is f—ed up, because now I’m not gonna be thought of as a serious actor,” he said on “The Howard Stern Show” in 2013. “I wanted to be [Robert] De Niro and [Al] Pacino, I didn’t want to be the guy from ‘Footloose.’”

While he was not a fan of the movie in the past, Bacon seems to have warmed up to the film, telling Willie Geist on Today’s “Sunday Sitdown” that he has “come around on ‘Footloose’” and called being a part of it “a great gift.” One thing Bacon has not come around to: deejays playing the song every time they spot him at a wedding, telling Conan O’Brien he will pay them not to play the song.

“My idea was much simpler. I thought it would be fun to do something for ‘Footloose,’ but I thought that maybe I would be teaching you how to dance, a la ‘Let’s Hear It For the Boy,'” he explained when he returned to the show in February 2015. “When I got the pitch back from you guys, it was like angry warehouse dance and I thought, ‘Oh no, I can’t do the angry warehouse dance, that’s just too much. It was so elaborate, but your team was so great that I just kind of plugged into it.”
He continued, “The night before at about two o’clock in the morning, and I’m standing in my kitchen, and I’m trying to remember some of these moves, and I’d seen the thing that you had put together, and I had to go and rent ‘Footloose’ on Netflix, because I didn’t have the movie,” he said before he got up and re-enacted himself trying to remember the dance.

Following his breakthrough role on “Footloose,” Bacon continued to star in both critically-acclaimed films and big blockbuster hits. One of his biggest hits after the iconic dance movie was the 1990 horror-science fiction movie, “Tremors,” also starring Fred Ward and Michael Gross.

He went on to say, however, that once he got on set he had a “magical time” working on it, noting he was impressed by all the “practical effects.”
“It was all guys in puppets or people with things on their hands, and wires being pulled,” Bacon told the outlet, calling the whole process “ingenious.”
A few years after “Tremors” was released, Bacon starred in “A Few Good Men,” also starring Tom Cruise, Demi Moore and Jack Nicholson. The movie follows the story of two Marines who are charged with the murder of another Marine in Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, and the lawyers who are trying to clear their names. Bacon plays the prosecutor attached to the case, Marine JAG Corps Captain Jack Ross.
“He’d done the scene a lot of times and knocked it out of the park every single time, and then we had to turn the cameras around, and you had to do the coverage of me reacting, Tom reacting to me reacting, Demi reacting, all of us, and he just kept delivering, even though he was off-camera,” Bacon said of Nicholson, who portrayed Col. Nathan R. Jessep.
He continued, “I remember, his uniform was getting kind of, his jacket was open at that point, his hair was messed up and stuff…but he just crushed it, and I remember thinking to myself, not only is he a great actor, but that kind of professionalism, that kind of generosity from one actor to the rest of the cast, is something I took to heart.”

In 1995, Bacon starred in two movies which earned him a SAG Award nomination, “Murder in the First” and “Apollo 13,” the latter of which earned him a win.

In 2009, Bacon starred in “Taking Chance,” a movie for HBO – now MAX – which earned him a Golden Globe and SAG Award win, as well as an Emmy Award nomination.
The movie follows the true story of Lt. Col Michael Strobl, who accompanied the remains of Lance Corporal Chance Phelps — a Marine who was killed in action during the Iraq War — from Dover Air Force Base to his final resting place in Dubois, Wyoming. He attended the funeral and memorial service, later going on to write a 20-page essay about his experience, which the movie is based on.
“There had been a lot of Iraq movies,” Bacon told SFGate in March 2010. “Some of them were fantastic, but nobody went to see them. Obviously, I don’t want to make something that nobody is going to go see.”

As a young actor, Bacon got his start on TV with the CBS soap opera “Guiding Light,” appearing in 11 episodes from 1980 to 1981. After focusing on his movie career for the next three decades, he made his big return to television in the FOX original series, “The Following.”
Bacon stars as retired FBI agent Ryan Hardy who comes out of retirement to track down escaped convict Joe Carroll. Hardy had initially caught Carroll, a notorious serial killer who murdered 14 women, and put him behind bars.
The show ran for three seasons from 2013 to 2015, with the actor telling The Hollywood Reporter in July 2012 shortly before the show’s release, the script had a lot to do with him taking on the role.
Hahn’s character than meets Dick, played by Bacon, one of the sponsors of Sylvère’s fellowship, and quickly becomes captivated by him. It leads Hahn’s character, Chris, to writing Dick letters detailing her sexual desires. The role ultimately earned Bacon a Golden Globe nomination.
When speaking about his relationship with Hahn while on the Today Show in May 2017, Bacon called Hahn “amazing,” and while most people acknowledge her comedic talents, he explained “she also has a tremendous amount of depth” and that he “just felt a great connection with her.”
Most recently, Bacon starred in “City on a Hill,” a Showtime series which aired for three seasons from 2019 to 2022.
“I think that sometimes I really have to go and seek that character out. I mean, there’s always a lot of homework to do, but sometimes they just kind of come to me,” he told the outlet in August 2022. “In the case of Jackie, I read it and I saw him, I heard him, I knew what he was going to look like, I knew how he was going to move. It all just kind of came to me. It doesn’t always happen that way.”
‘Immediately in love’

A then 29-year-old Bacon met actress Kyra Sedgwick, then 22-years-old, for the first time officially on set of their first movie together, “Lemon Sky,” in 1987. However, prior to that meeting, a 12-year-old Sedgwick ran into Bacon in a diner after having just watched him perform in an off-Broadway play.
When they met again all those years later, Bacon explained he “was just immediately in love with her,” telling Piers Morgan in 2014 he thought she was “really very beautiful and sexy and aloof,” adding “she was just immediately put off by me,” something Sedgwick confirmed.
“Our kids are very independent,” Bacon added, “My son refused to let me teach him how to ride a bike or how to swim. Those are dangerous things! But both my children were a lot like me when I was a kid — they didn’t really come to us for advice or help.”
The couple often post about their relationship, sharing videos of them hanging out in their home, or singing with goats in their barn.

In the commercial, the “13 Reasons Why” actress is annoyed as her dad continues to list all the features the new car comes with, rolling her eyes throughout the commercial as she is shocked “the guy who is internally locked out of his email is going EV.”

The model, who won Sports Illustrated Swimsuit’s open casting call in 2019, made a splash in 2023 by appearing on the magazine’s cover in a “Baywatch” inspired one-piece. The issue, which is now on newsstands, also features Martha Stewart, Megan Fox and Kim Petras as this year’s cover girls.
The Baton Rouge native will strut down the runway on July 7 for the SI Swimsuit runway event during Miami Swim Week® The Shows, the largest swim and resort festival. The 26-year-old told Fox News Digital that having a fitness routine she practices daily has helped her both look and feel her best in time for the show.
“Throughout the year, I just try to stay as healthy as possible and just have balance,” said Nader. “I don’t go on any crazy crash diets. I’ll just maybe cut out all my spicy margaritas for a couple of weeks leading up to a Sports Illustrated shoot just to feel mentally clear and healthy in general.”
“I box, which I feel has given me a lot of strength and toning,” Nader explained. “I go to Gotham Gym [in New York City], which is amazing. I’ve been boxing for the last few years, and I feel that has helped me a lot.”

“Being a model over the last six years – it can mess with you a little bit mentally because you’re going through ebbs and flows of getting really in shape for a shoot,” she shared. “And then after that, you’re [enjoying] all your cheat meals. And I feel like lately as I’m getting older, I just feel it’s really important to keep steady.”

For her fifth SI Swimsuit shoot, Nader traveled to Cap Cana in the Dominican Republic. Nader said she had no idea that one of the sizzling snaps, taken by James Macari, would make the cover.
“I had no idea that that was even a possibility,” she admitted. “I almost fainted [when I found out] because I was so excited. I just couldn’t believe it was real… I thought I was in a daze and that I was dreaming [when I got the news] because you just dream and hope… but you never really know if that’s ever going to happen to you. So to see the cover in person and hold it was insane.”

“I remember I was with a modeling agency who told me that Sports Illustrated was such a far-out goal that I probably couldn’t reach,” she reflected. “My agents just kept making excuses as to why I shouldn’t try out for Sports Illustrated. So I just took it upon myself to go to the open casting call in Miami where it all started. The media personality, 45, was a guest on the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast, where she spoke about receiving a full-body MRI in January, which led to her cancer diagnosis.
“When they found the tumor in the MRI, I said, ‘Can we go back and get the records and look at the November scan? I bet it was there’” she told host Amanda Hirsch. “And it was. At that point, it was two centimeters, and by the time they had found it, it was almost four centimeters. It had doubled in size in two months.”
At the time of her diagnosis, Menounos and her husband, Keven Undergaro, were expecting their first child via surrogate.

The former E! News corespondent shared that she’s “still getting to the bottom” of how the tumor could have been missed in her first scan.
“What I’ve learned since is … different scans have the ability to see different things better,” Menounos said. “For this, an MRI was what’s really going to see it. For other things, CAT scans are better, for other things an ultrasound’s better. It’s a really complicated process.”
She continued, “So the radiologist went back, and he was able to see it and do an addendum and say, ‘Yes, now with the knowledge it was there, we’re able to see it is there.'”
Menounos had previously revealed that she had undergone a successful surgery, with doctors removing the 3.9-cm tumor.

In May, Menounos explained the toll the past 12 months have had on her.
“This whole year has been trauma, stress, crisis,” she said in an interview with People magazine. “I was feeling so good, and then I got slapped in the face with a new diagnosis. I’d scream out loud, I was inconsolable.”

The doctors also had previously told her she had type 1 diabetes, which runs in her family.
The actress’s pancreatic cancer comes after doctors discovered a golf ball-size brain tumor in 2017. She had surgery to remove the ultimately benign growth.

Caviezel, now starring in “Sound of Freedom,” was struck by lightning while filming Mel Gibson’s biblical film. The actor, now 54, was also hit in the head with a cross weighing over 150 pounds.
Caviezel was struck by lightning “on the last shot of the movie,” he told Fox News Digital in a new interview. The cast and crew were filming the Sermon on the Mount scene and, on the fifth take, Caviezel was struck.
The lightning strike led to two heart surgeries, including an open-heart surgery, along with “lots of medication.” The actor said the issue was “finally corrected” in 2014.
“And it was actually in the film,” he added. “You see blood streaming out of my mouth” during the scene. The actor’s left shoulder was also dislocated.
“I had really struggled with that all film.”

Filming for the sequel, tentatively titled “The Passion of the Christ: Resurrection,” is reportedly beginning soon with a release date some time in 2024, according to IMDB. Meanwhile, Caviezel confirmed to Fox News Digital he’s been in touch with Mel Gibson about the future film.
“I have two scripts and one of them is very structured and a very strong script and kind of more what you’d expect, and the other is like an acid trip,” Gibson said in an interview shared by Outstanding Screenplays on YouTube. “Because you’re going into other realms and stuff. I mean, you’re in hell and you’re watching the angels fall. It’s like crazy.”
The script writing is a “massive undertaking,” Gibson said. “You have to really consider what it is that you need to show in order to be poignant. It can’t be linear. You have to have many things to juxtapose against one another even from different time periods in order to illustrate what something means in a more full way.”

Caviezel explained that the financing for the sequel shouldn’t be “too hard” because the first film was “pretty successful.” The original film earned over $600 million at the box office, making it the highest grossing film about religion, according to People magazine.
Despite the backlash and controversy, Caviezel stood behind his role in the movie and now explains why he feels it’s important to speak publicly about his faith.

“When you see what your country is doing and the world is going through, what can be the only remedy? Not to talk about your faith?” he questioned.
“I don’t see another remedy outside of God. And I’m talking about the Jesus God.”
